CEG, London
The Guild operates as a teaching organization that works to preserve and foster the art of embroidery, needlework, and fibre art. Stitchers of all levels of skill and experience are welcome, encouraged and supported. Instruction and presentations on embroidery, needlework, fibre art, and associated subjects are promoted and provided to both its members and the public.
Our member volunteers are the key to our success through the planning and delivery of instruction, maintaining our library, sourcing resources, outreach projects and administration of the Guild.
News Update
Greetings
Welcome to CEG, London's web site where you will find all the information you need about membership, classes, and workshops.
CEG, London members meet in-person on Thursdays at Westmount Presbyterian Church—521 Village Green Avenue in London. We also offer some classes on Zoom. There is something for every skill level and interest. We have kept today's hectic schedules in mind, offering classes at 9:30 a.m., 1:00 pm, and 7:00 pm. A highlight of the month is the Speaker Series at 9:30 a.m. on the Third Thursday of most months, where artists from around the world present virtually. Please note: we are NOT offering Speakers Series in the church this year. Please join us on Zoom from your own home to hear these fascinating presentations.
Just as important as the techniques you will learn and art you will create, are the friendships you will form. We hope you'll read more about our offerings and decide to join. We'd love to get to know you! Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have questions—Contact Us.

Pocket-Sized Art Party: Artist Trading Cards Making and Swap
Join us for a vibrant, hands-on day of creativity and connection! In this full-day workshop, we'll dive into the expressive world of mark making, experiment with mixed media techniques, and explore the beauty of embroidery on paper—all while creating unique Artist Trading Cards (ATCs).
You'll have the chance to work with paint, ink, fabric, thread, and collage to create richly layered mini artworks. Whether you love bold brushstrokes, delicate stitches, or transforming paper scraps into story-filled surfaces, this workshop invites you to play, explore, and make your mark in unexpected ways.
No prior experience is needed—just bring your curiosity and a willingness to experiment. You'll leave with a collection of finished ATCs, new skills in surface design, stitching, and collage, and the opportunity to swap your creations with fellow makers. We'll also introduce our brand-new ATC Swap Group, so you can keep the inspiration flowing all year long.
Let's come together to make our mark—one card, one stitch, one joyful exchange at a time.
This CEG Members only workshop will take place Thursday, January 29, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. There is no cost involved. To register log into the Members area, choose Announcements and then click on the link.

We reflect that some of the textile practices we use are influenced by Indigenous peoples and, when we are creating, we aim to reflect on the impact to Indigenous peoples. We do this in a spirit of respect for the people that preceded us on this land.
